For the first time after decades, under the conditions of a total lockdown, in the spring of 2020, the garden of the Giannis property was put under pilot operation. Tomatoes, cucumbers, rocket and onions showed soil fertility.

In the spring of 2021, the garden was developed. The soil got plowed and planted.

In early April, the first seeds were placed in the soil:
  • Onions
  • Lettuce (red & green)
  • Radishes
  • Beets
  • Spinach
  • Carrots

  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumbers
For the period Spring-Summer 2021, the new project of the land beyond is to provide the guests of its premises with fresh vegetables for salads and cooking. The seeds planted are estimated to meet the needs of 20 people throughout the summer.

  • Potatoes
  • Cabbage
  • Green beans
For the winter the process is extended. We move on to the processing phase of fruits and vegetables to create jam and spoon sweets. Even if we want, we plant vegetables which we will freeze later for their gradual consumption.

Liquer production

For the third year this year (autumn 2020), the land beyond produced its own cranberry liqueur.

Step 1: Cranberry collection in August.
Step 2: Spread the cranberries on big sheets and leave them in the sun for a few days to dry.
Step 3: Place them in large bottles which we also fill with water and leave them out in the sun for about 2 months.
Step 4: After this time, we can mix the liquid with tsipouro in small bottles or large bottles.
Step 5: Take a sip!
